Darn nuts!

Last weekend sweet hubby bought a nut roaster. It is a non-stick pan with a rotating bar and a handle. The idea is to keep the nuts moving so that they don't burn and they get covered with glaze.

I was trying this out last night. All was well until the handle fell off--I picked up the handle hoping to avoid the hot goo--but did. I burned my finger good. :(

Thought of Bubba pulling off the nuts from a brownie mumbling---darn nuts!

This girl needed a snow day!

BRR...it is cold here today! I got up at my usual time. Showered, ate some cereal, and went to make coffee before I realized the almost inch of snow outside. Like a kid I ran to the TV to find out if there was school today. And then called the weather line at work. IT IS A SNOW DAY!

Sweet hubby is helping me get up with this digital age. He bought me a digital camera AND a ipod for Christmas. So I am sharing the pics of my cute old house, covered in snow! Enjoy!

I did check online and it is common to not be able to tell if a kitten is a boy or a girl until it has grown some. Said kitten is not very old. Maybe 3 months.
